#Revival: 10 things You should know about Eminem upcoming Album.

After four years of being on the sidelines, Eminem is ready to set the world on fire all over again as he prepares to drop his latest album-"Revival". Personally, I've been following the album and I think everyone needs to be informed about the masterpiece. So let's cut the chase and look at 10 major things you should know about his brand project.

The 9th studio Album
Do you remember a tweet a guy compared Eminem to M.I? Talking about Eminem longevity in music and M.I rants about retiring. This is the real deal. Longevity is undoubtedly at the heart of Eminem career. Although not every album has lived up to the hype, but most of it have dominated Hip-Hop the time it lasted. We dont know if this is gonna be his final album but it is surely an album that will address the unique challenges that exist in the modern rap/hip-hop world.

18 months of Effort
According to multiple sources, this album reportedly took around 18months to conceptualise, write, record and produce.  First hint was in 2016, after Yelawolf who is signed to Shady records dropped his album.

Dr Dre is part of it
The musical romance between dr Dre and Eminem cannot be over emphasised. Sources have pointed out that dr Dre has been playing some role in producing the Album, especially the last few tracks. Tis always a hit when Dre produces the track for Slim Shady.

ED Sheeran is featured in it
That's right ladies and gent's. This New Eminem album will feature a track that has Ed Sheeran on it. This particular song will be called 'Rivers' and it's been slotted in the 5th track of the album. Other note worthy features include RnB legends Beyonce and Alicia Keys, upcoming R n B star kehlani, X ambassadors and Eminem all time favourite, Skylar Grey.

2Chainz was dropped
Another artiste that was supposed to be a part of it was iconic rapper '2Chains'. He came out in public awhile back, declaring that he was collaborating with Eminem on a track that would be featured in the new album. But when the final tracklist was released, his name was nowhere to be found. Guess the 3rd track 'Cholaraseptic' was suppose to have 2Chainz on it but Eminem featured NY-based rapper, Presher into the track. 2Chainz felt bad and expressed his displeasure with several emojis on IG.

Skylar Grey career pinnacle
UnSurprisingly, Eminem and Beyonce sent the world into chaos when 'walk on water' was released approximately one month ago. It was the firat single off the album. Guess who co-wrote the song and played the piano behind it? Skylar Grey. Yes! Eminem proverbial favourite made the track a special one with her contributions.

Indications of Honesty
If we are to judge the theme of the album via 'walk on water', 'Revival' is likely to be an honest album that shows Eminem still has fears and insecurities amidst the fame and legendary status.

Black lives matter
Although Eminem is white, he has always taken time to speak for the black race, who are being brutalised and ostracised by the white. On his recent track 'Unstoppable' he addresses police brutality and white supremacy. One which have divided his ardent fans.

R-syndrome
Aside The Marshall Mathers Lp 2, since 2009, Eminem have been dropping albums beginning with letter R. From Relapse, to Recovery and now Revival. All previous albums have been certified double platinum and made billboard number one. We hope this one is another R-magic too.
