ENEMY: Let us fight stress together



It will interest you to know that alot of hormones and mechanisms are all out to control the stress level. One of the hormones (Cortisol) is even called a 'stress Hormone' to see how the body sees stress as a threat. The country that I live (Nigeria) in is been grossly rated as one of the  most stress countries to live in. U go tire for the stress wey an average Nigerian dey pass through on a daily basis.

Though it's important to work to enable one earn a living it is also pertinent to keep body and soul together. Work can be done and managed in a way where general wellbeing is key!

My people make I yan una one truth,  because of the everyday hustling coupled with the kind of lifestyle people have adopted,  the quality of life has reduced.

My candid and Medical proven advice is for you/me to Take out time to de-stress.
We cannot overlook other factors that can cause us Stress like relationships(hmm),  finances etc.  We should be able to identify what cause us stress and challenge it wholeheartedly.

I hate it when I'm or I see people stressed it's even evident in energy level,  looks and even psychologically. You can get emotionally exhausted!

There are simple ways to keep the stress level in check:

1. Unplug devices


Have you ever been stressed and you find yourself getting vexed easily. When you find yourself in such situation, it's time to shut out and unplug to regain sanity. From work for instance, go on leave and turn off all email notifications. Stay away from your computer and everything that sets you off to get to work or rack your brain and just relax.

2. Travel


Leaving the work environment could just be what your heart and body have been yearning for... Travel for sight seeing. for play and to just generally take beautiful scenery in, change foods and meet new people. #popori

3.  Improve your diet


My brother nothing like good food ooo!!!
I watch an Instagram video of nicely prepared and garnished food some days ago and was already salivating hard. Just imagine eating such a food regularly.  Hmmmm.  Stress is nowhere to be found.
Eating good food is a way to replenish whatever energy you burn. When it comes to packing on nutrients, spoil yourself with food rich in nutrients for strength and virality. When you work without eating well then there's bound to be a problem. Improve your diet and use recommended food supplements if need be.


4. Get the exercise mats out


Exercises especially light ones has great ways of relieving the stress level.
Another way to stay sane is to try out meditation and yoga, these two studies show put you more in control of your being and helps you stay sane.


5. Regular Sex


When  I was writing this and it happened to be be my last point,  I remembered the lyrics of a Nigerian artiste, (Vector) "I came last,  cos the Ladies love it that way...."
Another fun way to de-stress is to have regular sex, studies have shown that it helps to relieve stress.
During the sexual act endorphins are released that help to relieve pain and stress
