10. SCIENTOLOGY
Founded by L Ron Hubbard this isn't your normal doomsday preaching headline grabbing group. At the core scientology is really about a lot of money as they knock the socks off, in law suits, of anybody that speaks ill of them. Folks who have escaped from this group have spoken about attempts to financial ruin made on them, brainwashing and fraud. They basically talk about threats made to them and other dangerous methods used by cult members to ensure loyalty. The basis of this cult is a confusing mess of alien influence and human psyche. The act most times as a global organization not as a religious group.
9. THE UNIFICATION CHURCH
This group of people are called "Moonies". They followers of the Sun Myung Moon, they believe Moon to be a deity worthy of worship. The cult became so damning that Germany banned him from the country as he was deemd a danger to the people (especially yoths that could be easily influenced). The cult has been accused of luring young people into joining them actively working to separate them from their families and support groups. Moons followers believe him to be God and so fully support him. Moon has been active in speaking against the christian church, beleiving Korea to be the chosen realm.
8. THE KU KLUX CLAN
Founded by 6 former officers of the confederate army otherwise known as the KKK, this group is famous for their white robes and pointed hoods and their beliefs about white supremacy. Formed after the civil war, the KKK somewhere in their history, lost though, was a group of extremist Christians and boasted of about four million members. Their fear tactics, murders and anonymity made them exceedingly dangerous. Their stance against blacks, Jews and Catholics didn't win them any favors and made them loose face. Though their influence has dwindled now, but still the Klan lives on.
7. The Movement For The Restoration Of The Ten Commandments Of God
Founded by Credonia Mwerinde, Bee Tait ad Joseph Kibeweteere, based in Uganda this group lived by the 10 commandments of God given to Moses on Mount Sinai. They had predicted that the world was going to end on the 1st of January 2000 and so followers of this group adhered strictly to the ten commandments and by strictly I mean they stuck to the commandments like white on rice. When the believed day for the world to end (January 1st, 2000) had come and gone with nothing world-ending like occuring they lost a lot of members and so the leaders set a new date for the end of the world, March that same year. And on the day the world was supposed to end 500 members gathered at a church prior to the worlds end, not knowing it was just their worlds end, there was an explosion. Some believe it was a massive suicide, but most believe primary cause of death was murder.
6. The Children Of God
I know you might be wondering why the children of God would be counted amongst the dangerous religious cults of the world, let's find out who they are.
This group is a very creepy one (don't mean to sound judgy) as their beleif is centerd on sex with children not only an "Ok" act, but a divine right. This belief/group was founded by David Berg. A lot of sexual abuse went down in this cult and a lot of women were turned to prostitution to lure in new members into the cult. There was a whole system In place for recruitment. Actors Rose McGowan and River Phoenix grew up in this family, but escaped and moved on to better things.
The rest of the list would be released on Sunday, keep enjoying your ride with FunDanfo...
